Your privacy.
I’m Arthur Jasper, the independent publisher behind Remember Those Days? You can contact me at hello@rememberthosedays.com.
Launch emails
The signup form is provided by MailerLite. It collects your email and, if you choose to give it, your first name for my launch news. You must confirm your email. The service processes the form, confirmation and email delivery and may receive the technical information needed to do so, including your IP address and browser information.
Use the unsubscribe link in any launch email to stop those messages. Contact me if you need help or wish to request access to or deletion of your details. MailerLite’s privacy information explains its service.
Anonymous games and groups
To play, I ask you to join my launch list first, as described under Launch emails above. The game itself never receives or stores your email: it stores an anonymous attempt, your answers and a token hash on the server for up to seven days. Your browser stores the private game key so you can resume. If you create a group, it also stores the organizer control. You can use “Forget this attempt” to delete the attempt and its shared result.
Sharing a nickname and result is optional. Anyone with the invite can see the group tally. Do not put contact details in a nickname. Remove your result using the same browser; the organizer can close the group. Groups expire after seven days. Expired data is removed by the service’s scheduled cleanup. A short-lived hashed network key is used to limit abusive requests; it is removed after the rate-limit window.
Browser keys do not follow you to another device. Clearing browser storage loses those private keys; contact me if you need help.
Advance-reader applications
Applications are currently closed, and the application form does not collect data. When operational, required application and delivery emails will be separate from optional launch news and review reminders. Access will require a confirmed application and selection, and the approved copy must be ready. Applications and personal access links will expire after 30 days; withdrawal removes the site application and access. Book delivery will use the separately identified delivery service when configured.
Hosting and measurement
The public website uses Cloudflare hosting, which processes network requests needed to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare’s privacy information describes its handling. No advertising pixel is used. This does not mean that hosting or the embedded email service receives no technical information.
Counting how the site is used
To learn what people enjoy and improve these pages, I count, for each visit: which page you came from and which social site’s link, or what kind of site (a search engine or an email, for example), brought you here, which parts of each page came into view, roughly how long each page was in use (only while it is on screen and you have scrolled, tapped or typed recently, or a video is playing), which buttons, sample pages, videos and form steps were used, your type of device (phone, tablet or computer), and roughly where you are: country, state and city, which my hosting service works out from your connection.
These counts never include your name, your email address, anything you type or your IP address itself, and there is no cookie. A random code kept only in this browser tab links the pages of one visit; it is deleted when you close the tab, and nothing follows you to other websites. I look only at totals, never at one person, and I don’t share the counts with anyone. The detailed counts are deleted after 30 days. Visitors in the European Union are not counted this way, and browsers that send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal are never counted.
I also use the totals by country, state and city to decide where to tell people about my book. That location comes from your connection, not from anything stored on your device. Separately, the site keeps simple daily totals of pages sent and of visits through each social site’s link, with nothing about who visited; those totals are kept for up to 400 days.
Links, preferences and security
Amazon and other linked services have their own privacy practices. Purchase and reading preferences will be your own report, not a verified sale; that bridge is not connected yet. Reading a preference link never changes anything. Personal access links should be kept private. I do not sell your contact details.
