How to Play
One Book. Four Ways to Make an Evening of It.
Choose a picture to see how each way works.
1 player · at your own pace
Settle in with a cup of coffee.
Pick a decade: start with the 1950s or jump to whichever era calls to you. Write each answer on the line provided, then turn to the answers at the end of that decade and mark each one.
Tally your score: Easy questions earn 1 point, Medium 2, and Hard 3. No timer, no pressure. Play as many decades as you like, in one sitting or many.

2 players · a friendly rivalry
Couples who play together, remember together.
Answer separately, with no peeking at each other’s sheet. Swap who reads the questions every 5 to 10, so you each get a chance to concentrate.
Compare at the end of each round to see where you agreed and who came out ahead. Keep a running score as you go: Easy 1 point, Medium 2, and Hard 3.

3–6 players · around the kitchen table
Let the memories do the talking.
Pick a reader, who hands the job to someone else after each batch of 10 questions, so everyone gets a turn. Each player writes their answers privately, then you reveal them together at the end of the round.
Keep score if you like, but don’t fuss over it. “Oh, I remember that!” is worth more than any score.

7+ players · teams of 3 to 5
You bring the people. The book brings the questions.
Split into teams of 3 to 5 and pick a host who doesn’t play. The host reads each question twice, teams get 20–30 seconds to talk it over and write down an answer, and the host scores the sheets after every 10-question round.
Score each answer by its level: 1 point for Easy, 2 for Medium, 3 for Hard. A tie? Play the Showdown: the host reads Hard questions one at a time, and the first team to raise a hand with the correct answer takes the point. First to 3 Showdown points wins, with no conferring.
